Vieska nad Žitavou (Hungarian: Barskisfalud) is a village and municipality in Zlaté Moravce District of the Nitra Region, in western-central Slovakia.

In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1406.

The municipality lies at an altitude of 181 metres (594 ft)^[3] and covers an area of 5.46 km² (2.11 sq mi) (2024).^[4]

It has a population of 436 people (31 December 2024).^[6]

In year 2021 was 463 people by ethnicity 457 as Slovak, 5 as Czech, 5 as Hungarian, 2 as Other and 1 as Silesian.
