Martin nad Žitavou (Hungarian: Zsitvaszentmárton) is a village and municipality in Zlaté Moravce District of the Nitra Region, in western-central Slovakia.

In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1272.

The municipality lies at an altitude of 196 metres (643 ft)^[3] and covers an area of 4.33 km² (1.67 sq mi) (2024).^[4]

It has a population of 583 people (31 December 2024).^[6]

In year 2021 was 535 people by ethnicity 522 as Slovak, 14 as Not found out, 4 as Other, 1 as Romani, 1 as German and 1 as Hungarian.
