Vápeník (Rusyn: Вапеник; Hungarian: Mészégető, until 1899: Vapenik) is a village and municipality in Svidník District in the Prešov Region of north-eastern Slovakia.
History
In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1600.
Geography
The municipality lies at an altitude of 402 metres (1,319 ft)[3] and covers an area of 3.76 km2 (1.45 sq mi) (2024).[4]
