The 2025–26 season is Liverpool Football Club's 134th season in their history and their 64th consecutive season in the top flight of English football. In addition to the domestic league, the club is also participating in the FA Cup, the EFL Cup, the UEFA Champions League, and the FA Community Shield.

This is the first season since 2015–16 without Trent Alexander-Arnold, the first since 2020–21 without Luis Díaz and the first since 2019–20 without Diogo Jota, who died in a car accident on 3 July 2025.[1][2] On 11 July 2025, Jota's squad number 20 was retired across all levels to commemorate his death.[3]

On 25 August 2025, Rio Ngumoha scored a 100th-minute winner against Newcastle United in the Premier League, becoming the club's youngest ever goalscorer at 16 years and 361 days.[4]

On 1 September 2025, Liverpool signed Alexander Isak from Newcastle United for £125,000,000, breaking the British transfer fee record.[5]

On 23 September 2025, Liverpool beat Southampton 2–1 in the EFL Cup, marking the first time in club history that they won 6 consecutive games by a 1-goal margin.[6]

On 29 October 2025, Amara Nallo became the first ever Liverpool player to be sent off in two consecutive appearances for the club, which were also his first two appearances for the club.[7]
