Sylwia works in various forms of animation, from music videos, co-directed with Jessica Poon (Sara Lovell: "The Skeleton Band", "The Midnight Secret Socks Party") to animated films.[3]
Her 2025 film "Autokar" is one of 15 projects shortlisted for the 2026 Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film. Set in the 1990s, the short follows a young woman who leaves her Polish homeland to board a bus alone and travel to Belgium. Anxious about her solo journey, she writes a letter to her father, who remains behind in Poland. The story is largely autobiographical for Sylwia, who is part of a Polish immigrant family.[4][5]
