SM Jahangir Hossain is a Bangladesh Nationalist Party politician and an incumbent Jatiya Sangsad member representing the Dhaka-18 constituency.[1] He is a Joint Convener of Dhaka City unit North BNP.[2]
Early life
SM Jahangir Hossain was born on 1 January 1973 in North Charkumaria village, Sakhipur Upazila from Shariatpur District, Bangladesh.[3] His parents were A K M Nuruzzaman, and Khayrun Nessa.[3] Hossain completed his SSC from Bangladesh Government Press High School in 1987 and HSC from Tejgaon College in 1989. He then earned his bachelor's degree from the same college in 1991.[3]
Career
Hossain won the 2026 Bangladeshi general election contesting at the Dhaka-18 constituency securing 144,715 votes while his nearest opponent National Citizen Party candidate Ariful Islam received 111,297 votes.[1]
