SBI TOP
This article is about the SBI TOP index of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange - the main equity benchmark of the Slovenian capital market. Symbol: SBITOP, ISIN: SI0026109882. The index is calculated by the Ljubljana Stock Exchange and is registered as a benchmark by ESMA[1].
Index Type
Price index, weighted with free-float market capitalisation. Dividends are not included in the calculation.
Methodology
Inclusion requirement is min. 50% of trading days with turnover, ranking according to the highest with respect to mean trading volume (block trades excluded) and free-float market capitalisation. The number of constituents is between 5 and 15. The constituents are free-float weighted and capped at 30% weight of the index. Index revision is done quarterly - in February, May, August and November.
As of January 2026, the index has 9 constituents.
Index Tracking and International Connectivity
Passive exposure to the index for international investors is possible through an exchange-traded fund - Expat Slovenia SBI TOP UCITS ETF - listed in Frankfurt on Xetra (ticker: SLQX[2], ISIN: BGSLOBI02187) and traded in euro. The fund acts as a conduit for capital flows between the internatuional financial markets and the Slovenian capital market.
The index is also tracked by a locally listed ETF - InterCapital SBI TOP UCITS ETF - listed in Ljubljana and in Zagreb (ticker: 7SLO[3]).
