The economy of South Africa is the largest economy in Africa. It is a developed nation , and the only 1st world nation in Africa. The economy is the most industrialised, technologically advanced, and diversified in Africa.
Johannesburg is South Africa’s primary economic and financial centre, contributing about 16% of the country’s gross domestic product and roughly 40% of Gauteng’s total economic output. In a 2008 Mastercard survey, the city was ranked 47th among the world’s top 50 centres of commerce, making it the only African city on the list. (Full article...)
