Manuel José Echeverría

Manuel José Echeverría y Arrivillaga (May 23, 1817 – February 3, 1902) was Guatemalan statesman and lawyer under the regime of President Rafael Carrera.

Manuel was born in Guatemala City to Juan José Echeverría and Maria Ignacia de Arrivillaga, a member of the prominent Arrivillaga Family. Manuel served as Minister of the Interior of the Republic of Guatemala under the government’s of Rafael Carrera and Vicente Cerna y Cerna. Manuel was a close ally of Carrera and was even appointed as a cabinet member. Manuel died on February 3, 1902 in Guatemala City.[1][2]
