Man on the Run is a 2025 documentary film about the life of Sir James Paul McCartney from his formation of Wings through the 1970s. It was directed by Morgan Neville.[4][5] The film premiered in 30 August 2025 at the Telluride Film Festival In Colorado.[6] Amazon MGM acquired distribution rights.[4][7] It is set to be released on 27 February 2026 on Amazon Prime Video.[8]
The film coincides with the 2025 album, Wings, and the book Wings: The Story of a Band on the Run.
Release
The film premiered at the Telluride Film Festival on 30 August 2025.
The film will have a limited theatrical release for one night only on 19 February 2026 by Trafalgar Releasing,[9] and will be released on Prime Video on 27 February 2026.[8] A soundtrack will be released on the same day as the film's release onto Prime Video.[10]
