Komjatná is a village and municipality in Ružomberok District in the Žilina Region of northern Slovakia.

Komňatná → Komjatná. "Something that has a relationship to the chamber" (Slovak komnata: a chamber), "the village with guest chambers".^[4]

In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1330 (Komnathna).^[4]

The municipality lies at an altitude of 679 metres (2,228 ft)^[3] and covers an area of 14.54 km² (5.61 sq mi) (2024).^[5]

It has a population of 1574 people (31 December 2024).^[7]

In year 2021 was 1576 people by ethnicity 1558 as Slovak, 24 as Not found out, 6 as Czech, 2 as Other, 1 as German and 1 as Hungarian.
