Glenorchy Aerodrome is a small general aviation airfield is situated just south of the township of Glenorchy near Lake Wakatipu.[1]
Facilities
- The Aerodrome houses:
- One onsite portable hanger (present for four months of the year)
- One Portacom building
- One temporary parking area
- Two helipads[2]
Operations
The aerodrome is primarily used by small private planes and by helicopters, mainly from the Department of Conservation.[2] The Queenstown Airport Corporation manages the airstrip & provides maintenance services.[3]
