George Dunn (born 1872) succeeded Charlie Checkett as Curator of the Adelaide Oval in 1919.[1][2] Dunn was succeeded by Albert Wright in 1920.[3] Dunn is significant as the 5th curator of the Adelaide Oval and being the first curator born after SACA was founded in 1871.[4]
Cricketer
George Dunn was a profession Cricket player with the Waddesdon Cricket club in the year 1895 he played against Schorne College. He captured all 10 wickets and the hat trick.[2]
Adelaide Oval's curator
Dunn succeeded Charlie Checkett in 1919. Dunn was the first new curator in 37 years.[5] While Dunn was the curator of the Adelaide Oval, he prepared many matches and got complements for many matches.[1][6][7] In March 1920 Dunn resigned from being the Adelaide Ovals Curator.[8][9] Dunn was succeeded by Albert Wright who served until his death in 1938.[10]
