He represents the Charkhari constituency of Uttar Pradesh and is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Based on recent reports, BJP MLA Brijbhushan Rajput, representing the Charkhari constituency, has been associated with the "Bahubali" persona due to his assertive leadership style and willingness to directly confront administrative machinery. His popularity in the state recently surged following a highly publicized incident where he confronted and temporarily held a state minister hostage to demand immediate action on delayed water projects and infrastructure development in his area. This aggressive tactic resonated with his supporters, who view him as a leader who prioritizes local grievances over bureaucratic delays, thereby reinforcing his image as a powerful, hands-on representative. Political career
Brijbhushan Rajpoot is a son of Ganga Charan Rajput (ex M.P. Loksabha and Rajya Sabha) has been a member of the 17th Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh. Since 2017, he has represented the Charkhari constituency and is a member of the BJP.[1]
On 29 November 2018, Rajpoot made a 5-year-old disabled boy MLA for a day.[3]
