The Bangladesh–India cricket rivalry is an increasingly intense sporting competition between the national cricket teams of India and Bangladesh. While initially starting as a friendly contest following Bangladesh's induction into international cricket, the rivalry has grown significantly in the 21st century, often being characterized by high-stakes, closely fought matches, and passionate fan bases on both sides. In terms of results however it has been one sided with India leading far ahead in terms of head to head which has led to most Indian cricket fans themselves not seeing it as a serious rivalry even though most Bangladeshi cricket fans think otherwise based on a few close encounters.
