The 2026 Aryna Sabalenka tennis season officially began on 4 January 2026, with the start of the 2026 Brisbane International in Brisbane.[2]
Yearly summary
Early hard court season
Sabalenka began her season at Brisbane International where she defeated Cristina Bucșa, Sorana Cirstea ,Madison Keys and Karolina Muchova to reach third consecutive final at the event. There she defeated Marta Kostyuk 6-4, 6-3 to win the title for second consecutive year.
Australian Open
Sabalenka began her Australian Open campaign with straight set victories over Tiantsoa Sarah Rakotomanga Rajaonah, Bai Zhuoxuan, Anastasia Potapova, and Victoria Mboko , Iva Jovic and Elina Svitolina to reach her fourth consecutive Australian Open final. In the final, she lost to fifth seed Elena Rybakina 4-6, 6-4, 4-6 in a rematch of 2023 Australian Open final which Sabalenka won.
