The 2025–26 WHL season is the 60th season of the Western Hockey League (WHL). The regular season began on September 19, 2025. The Penticton Vees will join as the league's newest franchise, its 23rd, and be placed in the B.C. division of the Western Conference.[1]
The team that wins the championship will win the Ed Chynoweth Cup and represent the WHL at the 2026 Memorial Cup, hosted by the Kelowna Rockets of the Western Hockey League. The tournament will be held at Prospera Place in Kelowna, British Columbia.[2]
